Greece known officially the Hellenic Republic is at the southern end of the Balkans to the Mediterranean coast.

The climate in Greece is a Mediterranean climate. Although many places in northern Greece have a very cold winter with lots of snow, in places like ski resorts open for visitors to attract travelers to the area of winter. In the summer can be very hot especially on the continent. Greek islands on the other hand has a mild climate due north summer winds called Meltemi.
